You don't know what a hero is. A hero is a man (or a woman) who does what has to be done in spite of being scared, tired, cold, hungry, etc. They don't do it for glory. They don't do it for money. They do it because they believe in something greater than themselves and are willing to fight and die for it.
Memorial Day is the one day set aside each year to honor the men and women of the armed forces who have died defending the United States of America. You don't have to believe in the causes they believed in. You don't have to make the sacrifices they did. But you should thank them for what they did. They made it possible for you to be here expressing your opinions.
